Ordered the same size as all my other Levi’s pants from the same seller, just a different style. Couldn’t get the pants past my thighs. Will unfortunately be returningThe jeans fit very well for a short, small-waisted person. At the back there is a small gap, but compared to other jeans it is relatively small. My daughter prefers to wear a belt to eliminate that gap for her own comfort, but it is negligible enough that it will not impact the fit.The front pockets are good, moderately sized. The back pockets are larger than other jeans, able to comfortably fit a large cell phone. The inseam is a good length for shorter people. While the edge of the pants does touch the ground for my daughter, they do not pose a tripping hazard nor do they interfere with motion. Overall, they are a very nice pair of jeans for everyday wear and walking, but perhaps not for hard labor work. They aren’t stretchy at all but since they are cotton they are supposed to mold to your body. These are nice for a baggy type of look without completely drowning me. Im 5’1 and 39” hips these look cute with shorter or cropped tops. They have buttons instead of a zipper. I could of gotten a 30 for a more fitted look around the back areaI am in my mid 60s, 5’8”, 167 lbs, hourglass shape.I looked and felt really good in my button up 501s back in my youth when I was slender, fit and shapely.I don’t know what possessed me to give my beloved 501s a try with my grandma bod, but I am glad I did.Do these make me look slimmer like the faux jeans with spandex and stretch? Nope. But do they look GOOD, and like a traditional pair of hiking/working/hanging out jeans? You betcha they do!And I LOVE them!I don’t understand the sizing chart though.I read a ton of reviews and took a stab at what might fit (because if you get the size wrong ordering via Amazon vine you can’t exchange or return and still have to pay for what you ordered)I have size 30 and 31 Levi shorts, but they put viscose in those. My waist is closer to 35 right now and hips 42. This is the ladies Levi’s size chart.Size. Jean sz. Waist. Hips10/11 30 31.25 4012/13 31 32.75 41.514/15 32 34.25 4316/17 33 35.75 44.518/20 34 37.75 46.5Based on the size 30 and 31 Levi shorts both fitting well proportionately, I went with the 32 in the 501 jeans to compensate for being all cotton and heavy denim. They fit very well. I washed in cool water and dried in warm dryer before wearing. They are slightly snug in waist and fit perfect in hips and seat. They do have looser thighs, but they did back in the day also. I have slowly and steadily been losing 1-2 pounds a month for two years. I am on target for my goal weight in 2023.At that point these Jeans would be loose (unless a hot water hot dryer wash cycle can shrink them up a lot), but I am looking forward to wearing them this year.I purchased these for my teenager daughter who wears XS/S in athletic brands, and size 2-4 & 26 in most pants. We went with a 27 because these jeans are a “true” denim with no stretch and it was a good call! The 27 is a bit loose, so I’d say sizing wise these are pretty standard, but because they have no give to them it’s nice to size up just a bit - these aren’t really a super tight squeeze into them type of style!Fit wise definitely a high rise. Personally I don’t quite “get” the look of styles like this 501 type of fit, but I am an 80s child. My teenager daughter, on the other hand, LOVES these less fitted baggier fits and so do all her friends - I guess they are trendy again?!Material wise these are softer than I was expecting for new denim. Decent thickness, and great dark blue color. Two thumbs up for a quality jean with a good fit! These look like they will last a long time, which is a pleasant change from a lot of what I see in thin/“distressed” jeans that come through the house… !501 original no stretch 31x30. I measured the jeans and they are spot on with sizing. The waist is 31 inches and the leg inseam is 30 inches. Where these jeans get tricky is the hips and thighs. These are fitted 501. The hip is 42in max. The thigh at its largest is 24in. Levi’s makes jeans for all shapes you just need to know the denim style number that works for you. I should have ordered a wider waist size in the 501 to accommodate my hips. Just something to know when ordering. Quality denim that will last longer than stretch denim.I have always ordered Levi's in my usual size (12), and this particular jeans fit just as well as every other pair I have ever had from this brand. So yes, I am happy to report I found these jeans true to size. They're incredibly comfortable and super well-made too. The jean material is thick and durable feeling; but also soft and flexible. Plus the color is really nice too and matches well with all of my tops. I really like these jeans a lot. I will happily order more Levis in the future, even if I had to pay full price. It is definitely one of my most favorite brands and everyone in my family wears them! I don't think you'll be disappointed with these. These jeans made my flat tushy look like a had some junk in the trunk! Also, the button fly held in my fupa well. They are a little long but easy enough to cut at home!
