NYDJ Women's Ariel Crop Jeans with Rivets - High Waist Distressed Denim Pants for Casual Wear & Everyday Outfits

NYDJ is usually a winner in my book! These fit pretty much as expected. I'm saying "pretty much" because you can take a pair of NYDJ jeans, in this case Ariels, Size 14, and measure them up against a second pair of NYDJ Size 14 Ariels, same color, same EVERYTHING and they can both fit differently from each other. Not sure why (Lord knows they charge enough for their jeans!) but NYDJ's quality control just isn't there. People used to say perhaps the quality control was lacking because they were made in China. Turns out, where they were made makes no difference at all. You can take two pair same size, same style, both "Proudly Made in U.S.A." and they STILL may not fit you the same. Often when shopping for NYDJs in a brick-and-mortar store I will take two identical pair of jeans into the fitting room at once to see which one fits me the best. So that's a problem.Another reviewer mentioned the "blingy crystal" that NYDJ simply called "rivets". You can see them more clearly if you zoom in on the third photo but I didn't do that so I was kinda surprised too. It's pretty misleading tho that NYDJ would just call them "RIVETS" and nothing more, lol!!! Also misleading (IMHO) was the photo of the color "Popcorn". It looks AWFUL in the picture, even tho I thought I'd give the color a try anyway. So in person it's this BEAUTIFUL shade of bright, buttery, sunny yellow!!! I'd name it 'Butter'. (Had I actually wanted a muted yellow however, I'd be WAY disappointed.)Other reviewers have said that these don't fit them well but everyone doesn't have the same body shape. Some of us have tinier waists (or not!); flatter booties; curvier hips; smaller thighs; more muscular calves so of course all women aren't going to look great in the same style jeans, right? For me, these are terrific (even tho I DEF don't have a boyish/straight figure!) but NYDJ makes a GAZILLION other styles and if these aren't good, just try another one of their styles. LOVE that Amazon Prime not only has Free Shipping...but oftentimes offers FREE RETURNS!!! I mean, what's better than that, right?!!? ;-)Nice color. Very little stretch compared so what I had been led to expect. I did not size down, since I didn’t want a tight fit. Could barely get into these - and the waist was very large. This would be a good fit for someone with a boyish/straight figure, but it was not for me. The legs also had blingy crystals that were a surprise to me.These are great pants until you wear them for a couple hours. I did not listen to the reviews as a size 8 is what I always wear in NYDJ. I did my normal alteration of putting some elastic in the waist to make it smaller. My first indication that something was wrong was when they wanted to fall down after an hours wear. After four hours they were stretched out everywhere and I did indeed feel like I needed a whole size smaller. I don't think I can save them. I have had this problem if the fiber content has 4%+ elastane but this one says it only has 2%.These jeans ran smaller than the other NYDJ jeans that I have. I had to return them.Nice fit, pretty color for summer, one of my favs for a casually elegant look.These are comfortable. NYDJ run a size bigger than what you normally wear, so if you wear a size 10, you would have to get a size 8 in NYDJ brand, and so forth.This are nice peddle pushers. They wash OK too. My cat is not black, so consequently I have to use a lint roller to get that fur off. Ha!Casual wear. Seemed a bit snug for what I am accustomed to for nydj brand.
