I wish that women's jeans would be made a little less narrow on the calf. First it was the awful muffin top low rise, now it's the skinny toothpick narrow look. I work out so my calves have muscle. Hard to pull up over calves. It's so difficult to find a decent fitting, flattering women's jean nowadays. What are these designers thinking anyway? I sent them back.I have another pair of Clarissas that I purchased about a year ago. These have a much narrower calf than the pair I have. Will be returning.They are nice and fit well except they were longer than ankle jeans on both my mother and me. I had to return them.I am 5'2" so these jeans are not ankle length on me,they hang about 2 inches below the ankle. That is fine with me, I was actually concerned they might be a little too short. They are perfect in every other way, love the fit, the fabric is so soft. They just feel good on. I haven't been disappointed with NYDJ jeans yet. This is the best way to shop for me, hassle free, just hit the send button!This is the 6th pair of Clarissa Skinny ankle jeans I've purchased from Amazon, size 2. Because the first 5 pairs fit perfectly (all bought at different times) I did not try these on when they arrived as I expected them to also fit perfectly. NOT. I found the same pair elsewhere online and they fit perfectly. I still have the tags on but of course the 30 days has passed and I am unable to return the pair that are noticeably not the same size/shape as all the others, but of course I paid full price for. Lesson learned....investigate every purchase the minute you get it.I love the NYDJ brand and have several pairs of their jeans. This particular jean fits true to size, rather than running large. I normally order a size down when buying this brand, but found that pair was too small, so reordered in my "normal" size 8 and they fit great. LOVE the washed color look -it doesn't have weird stripes, holes or other things that "washed" jeans usually have. They do run a bit short, but they are ankle jeans. Very comfy.These fit great in the waist, but super, super tight on thighs and calves. So much so that they looked like leggings.Love these jeans. Besides being soft and comfortable several people commented that I had lost a a lot of weight; so apparently they also make me look thinner.
