Typically I wear AG primas, which have a lower waist. However, I needed new jeans before a trip and these were what I could get before leaving. I was surprised to actually like the higher waist. Still a comfy fit, tons of stretch, but also more flattering because it doesn't cut my tummy in a funny place. Great dark wash color, too.
